Berry Elementary School, Proposition X & Y Modernization Program | San Diego, Ca
As a part of the South Bay Union School District’s Proposition X and Y modernization and renovation program, the Berry Elementary School underwent a $7 Million transformation that included:
The Campus Permanent Classrooms have been completely renovated.
All of the Campus Relocatable Classrooms have been renovated.
The Library has been completely renovated.
The Kitchen has been renovated.
The Administration Building has been completely renovated.
The Campus electrical systems, including Power and Low Voltage systems, such as Fire Alarm and PA system with Clocks, have been fully upgraded.
Students now have access to computers and modern technology in all of the classrooms.
Accessibility (ADA) upgrades and improvements to the school site, including restrooms, classrooms, and playgrounds, have been completed.
Old and deteriorating plumbing, including sewer systems, have been repaired and in some cases replaced.
Student and Staff restrooms have been renovated and repaired.
Student safety has been enhanced by installing additional site security fencing with controlled access gates.
General site improvements, including replacing deteriorating concrete sidewalks and steps, are now complete.
Campus interim housing during modernization construction.
This program is nationally recognized as the Gold Winner of the CONSTRUCTECH VISION AWARD for its application of modern technologies, including a fully integrated P6 and Prolog database infrastructure.
