Calvin Simmons Campus New Career Tech Lab, Site and Building Improvements Project | Oakland, Ca

As a part of the Oakland Unified School District’s Proposition B and J capital improvement program, the Calvin Simmons Campus is undergoing a two phased renovation. Phase I included the Career Tech Lab, while the next phase will include the site and existing building improvements. The Career Tech Lab is a two story structure consisting of two life science laboratories, a biochemistry laboratory, a health laboratory with two exam rooms and support space. This building was designed to be seamlessly integrated with the existing campus architecture. The site and existing building improvements accommodate the expansion of middle school programming at this location and enhance opportunities for physical education.

  • A new restroom for the existing building
