Avenue 48 Reservoir and Booster Pump Station | City of Coachella, Ca

SGI provided on-site construction management services for the City’s new five million gallon reservoir and booster pump station project. This project was completely new construction from the ground up to meet the City’s increasing population.

The new reservoir was delivered using design-build with the manufacturer; the completed welded steel structure has a diameter of 175 feet with a straight wall height of 32 feet below the knuckle. It has a nominal maximum water height of 30 feet and a minimum nominal working capacity of five millions gallons.

In addition to the new reservoir, a new housing structure for the booster pump with emergency back-up power was constructed, along with site work improvements, such as landscaping, concrete walk ways, asphalt paving and related water distribution main.
