Coronado Elementary School – New/Reconstruction of Old Campus | Richmond, Ca
The new $27 million campus will consist of 64,738-sf of classroom, administration, multipurpose, kindergarten, and support facilities. Modern technologies and an array of upgrades will enhance the students’ learning experiences when the rebuilt school opens in August 2015.
Rebuilding the school will facilitate an era of collaboration between Coronado students and staff and the surrounding community. The neighborhood will gain greater access to the school through a shared garden, community kitchen, and wellness center that will provide dental, medical, optical, and counseling services for students.
In addition to traditional areas for basketball, soccer, kickball, and four-square, the outdoor playground will include a variety of discovery activities for students.
