Title IX Improvements, including New Softball Field | San Jose, Ca
SGI provided program, project, and construction management services for the Title IX Field Improvement projects at East Side Union High School District’s James Lick Campus. The project scope included the construction of a new softball field and the conversion of the existing softball field to a multipurpose (soccer) field.
The site improvements included the demolition of the existing multi-use field, softball field, and associated site work, including furnishings, existing hardscape, softscape, utilities and fencing. At the multi-use field, a new natural grass soccer field was installed including the relocation of an existing clamshell backstop and reconstruction of all associated fencing. The softball field included a new natural grass with skinned infield including backstop and fencing, chainlink fence dugouts, bullpens, batting cage, scoreboard, and other furnishings. In addition, improvements to the onsite drainage utilities, irrigation and electrical services were made.
